Booking Policies
Beautiful work deserves
clear boundaries.
I love what I do, and I respect the work enough to protect it. These policies keep expectations, money, property, and responsibility clear before the first object enters the room.
This page is a plain-language summary. Your proposal and signed agreement contain the final scope, rates, deadlines, and event-specific terms—and control if anything here differs.
01Dates & payment
- A date is secured only after the agreement is signed and the 50% non-refundable retainer is paid. We do not hold dates without both.
- The remaining balance is due 14 calendar days before the event. Bookings made within 14 days require payment in full.
- Invoices may be paid by secure bank transfer or major credit or debit card. Any processing fee appears before payment is authorized.
- Prices, outside purchases, third-party costs, service charges, and taxes are itemized before approval. Scope changes are priced in writing.
02Cancellation & rescheduling
- Thirty or more days before the event: the retainer may be applied to one new date occurring within six months, subject to availability.
- Fourteen to twenty-nine days before the event: the retainer is forfeited and cannot be transferred.
- Thirteen days or fewer before the event: all payments are forfeited because labor, inventory, and vendor commitments are already in motion.
- For circumstances beyond either party’s reasonable control, the first remedy is rescheduling or credit under the signed agreement. Rights required by applicable law are not waived.
03The House
- Standard House gatherings are designed for up to 34 guests. Expanded capacity must be approved in writing and may never exceed the lawful or contract-specific occupancy.
- No smoking or vaping indoors. No glitter, loose confetti, permanent adhesives, or open flame without written approval. Outside décor must be approved before arrival.
- Furniture, artwork, and House objects may be moved only by House staff. Unapproved rooms remain private and off limits.
- Ordinary setup and cleanup are included within the booked scope. Client and outside vendors must remove anything they bring; excessive cleanup or late departure is billed under the agreement.
04Damage, insurance & overtime
- A refundable damage security authorization begins at $500 and may increase with guest count, rental inventory, or event risk. It is released or refunded within five business days after inspection, less documented charges.
- The booking client is responsible for damage, breakage, loss, extraordinary cleaning, and guest or vendor conduct beyond normal wear. Charges to a payment method require the authorization contained in the signed agreement.
- Proof of general liability coverage may be required for events over 34 guests, alcohol service, pool access, specialty entertainment, or higher-risk production. Coverage arranged through the House may carry an additional fee.
- Approved overtime is billed in 30-minute increments at the rate stated in the proposal. Continuing beyond the contracted end time does not guarantee continued venue or staff availability.
05Tabletop & décor
- On-site House inventory is included only as stated in the selected package. Off-site rental periods, delivery, pickup, installation, and strike are listed in the proposal.
- Broken, stained, missing, or damaged pieces are charged at the disclosed replacement cost. Specialty linens should not be washed unless the House gives written care instructions.
- Seasonal décor is included where stated. Custom additions, a full restyle, or changes requested after approval are treated as scope changes.
